Kiev or Kyiv is the capital and most populous city of Ukraine. It is in north-central Ukraine along the Dnieper River. Kiev is among the cheapest cities in Europe and the quality you get for so little money is outstanding. Accommodation, food, going out, cultural events and any other expenses won't drain your budget really. Another reason why it's worth to visit Kiev now is helping the economy, and especially local people.
Today, history continues to unfold. As the revolution has come and gone, and as the war in the east smolders, Ukraine's capital has rebelled yet again, only this time culturally. A creative wave has swept over the city, embodied by urban art, vintage cafes and 24-hour parties. Seemingly overnight, Kyiv has become hip. It's also cheap. You can eat at superb restaurants and drink at hidden cocktail bars for a fraction of what they would cost in the West. Kyiv's time is clearly now – or until the next revolution rolls around.
When visiting Kiev, Ukraine, you don’t want to neglect the tasty menus you’ll find in many of the local restaurants. From traditional Ukrainian food to modern Chinese cuisine, and even their take on American food- Kiev restaurants have something for everyone. You can Find western world breakfast options with an Eastern Europe twist at Home Cafe, a 15-minute walk from the bus and train stations in Kiev. Known for their omelets and gourmet coffee.
Kiev is also an ideal place - excepting Georgia – to try Georgian food, and Mama Manana is without any doubt one of the addresses that you don’t want to miss in the Ukrainian capital city. Ukrainian dishes as Fusion cuisine dishes. Then you can eat there some Bortsch popsicles – that will reconcile you with this traditional soup.
Kiev is unusual as it has beaches right in the center of the city. They are lively and crowded at summer weekends as well as weekdays. If you want to get away from the crowds, you’ll have to venture a bit further out of the city. The best and the most popular beaches in Hidropark - where you can not only swim, bronze and play volleyball but also enjoy the beautiful environment - are Molodizhnyi Beach and Venetsian Bay, situated next to the pleasuredome at Sun City Slavutych. The Central beach on Trukhaniv Island is also good.
Nightclubs in Ukraine are open mainly two days a week, on Fridays and Saturdays, these nights are called “for amateurs”, because true party cougars explore Kiev nightlife every evening. For those especially enthusiastic there are clubs that work 7 days a week: Caribbean Club and Coyote Ugly and numerous bars, of course. Exceptions to this rule are quite rare.
the night before the holiday Kiev nightlife can be too overwhelming and clubs can be clogged up even on weekdays, and on Fridays or on Saturdays right after the holiday party establishments are empty.

Whilst I had no problem with the car the roads were terrible. There is litle pleasure in driving.
